Welcome to the official website of Kwinana United Soccer and Social Club at Kelly park, Thomas Oval in Medina. Kwinana United Soccer Club commenced in 1954 as Medina Soccer Club and joined the semi-pro league in 1963.
In 1990 Kwinana United left the semi-pro and started a new season in the Amateur league. We currently play in the Amateur league, second division in Perth, Western Australia.

Recent results
The first team have had some poor results over the past few weeks including a 2-1 loss to Inter Calcio followed by a 2-1 defeat to Balga. The side is now 7th on the table and will be looking for a win over North Perth on Sunday to get the season back on track.
The reserves had a good win over Inter Calcio 3-1 and are also sitting in 7th spot.
The masters have continued there good start to the season making it 4 wins from 4 after defeating Rockingham City 4-1. This leaves them top of the table, 3 points ahead of second place.

10 men first team lose 4-3 to Whitfords
The first team were unlucky to come away with no points on Sunday after losing a player early in the second half. Whitfords started the match strongly and found the breakthrough from a corner 20 minutes into the game. The lead was then doubled from the spot after there man was brought down.
Just before half-time Kwinana hit back with a fine strike from Kevin McLaughlin, moments later T.J hit the post from distance and Kwinana went into the break trailing 2-1.
Kwinana started the second half strongly and in the 55th minute Kevin scored his second after rounding the keeper. During celebrations however he left the field of play and was issued his second yellow card and was dismissed. Following this Whitfords added two goals. Kwinana scored late to ensure a tight finish however it all ended 4-3.
The reserves lost their match 4-0.
The Masters were also in action earlier that day defeating Suburbs 7-5
Kwinana beat Morley-Windmills 7-1
Kwinana United have made a good start to the 09' season with a strong showing against Morley Windimills. Kwinana had all the early play and should have been a couple of goals ahead within the first ten minutes.
Against the run of play Morley opened the scoring but this gave the boost Kwinana needed going on to win 7-1 through goals from Kevin, Glen, Chris and Jason.
That makes it two wins from two after Golden Lily forfeited the first match.
Kwinana finish runners up in Margaret River Pre-Season tournament
Kwinana United have just missed out on winning the annual Margaret River tournament, losing 2-1 to Curtin in the final on Sunday.

The team got off to a decent result with a 0-0 result againt last years winners Fremantle Croatia. This was followed up by a solid 3-1 win over UWA with goals from Ginger Kev and Andy Willars. Special mention for the one Noddy Williams who captained the side and maintained a 100% winning record as skipper.
Next up the side battled hard against a Dunsborough team that were up for it however conceded an own goal in the final few minutes to lost 1-0. 3 Points had been secured from the following match due to Port Kennedy forfitting the final game.
The Saturday ended well though with Ben Andrews winning the penalty competition and Sean "Tando Velapi" Lynn standing out with some fantastic saves.
Kwinana was drawn againt South Perth for Sunday mornings Quater Final and were off to a flying start after Captain Glen Smith hit a superb free kick and left the keeper with no chance. Kwinana piled on the pressure but where unable to take advantage and conceded a soft goal in the second half with the ball looping in from 30 yards. With only minutes to go some good work on the right wing by Gamblor and Ben Andrews saw the ball knocked into the box for Andy Willars rise and hammer the ball home, Kwinan winning 2-1. Special mention to Kenny the Malteser who played a blinder and had clearly been inspired by Liverpools thumping of Man U
In the Semi-Final the side came up against a strong Albany team with the first half being even and neither side getting any clear changes. In the second half Kenny hit a well timed cross for Andy Willars to hit home and see Kwinana United into the final.
Curtin was the opponent for the Final and it could not have started much worse with Kwinana conceding a goal within the first 40 seconds of kick-off. Just before the break a penalty was given to Curtin and converted. Trailing 2-0 Kwinana came out firing in the second half and got an early break after Glen Smith was brought down in the box and Ben Andrews smashed home the resulting penalty. The pressure was mounting on the Curtin defense with numerous efforts on goal however Kwinana was unable to score and lost 2-1
Kwinana win 6-Side Port Kennedy Summer Competition
The side including Kwinana players TJ, Glen, Luke, Warren and John beat a representing Rockingham team 4-3 on Wednesday night to secure the tournament and ensure their 100% winning record was kept intact.
In the semi-final the boys won 4-0 playing some of their best football of the summer. During the final game the boys twice came back from a goal down. Craig Howard (Mandurah) scored 1 with Glen picking up the other 3.

Pre-Season Training Announced
Pre-Season Training will begin on Sunday 1st February at Thomas Oval at 9am,
Kwinana United will have 4 teams competing this year. The First Team, Reserves, Masters(35+) and Womens team.
This year is due to be a big year for the club with the appointment of new First Team coach Ronnie Moore.
Kwinana will be looking to follow on with the strong performance shown in the second half of last season and compete for the league title.

Ronnie Moore announced as 1st Team Coach for 2009
Kwinana United have confirmed that Ronnie Moore will be the head coach of the first team for the coming soon. Moore replaces Scott Brenzie who guided the side to 4th the previous season.
Pre-Season will be commencing on Sunday 1st February, 9:00am at Kelly Park. New players interested are more than welcome to come down.
